Recently Dr. Byers had the opportunity to attend a continuing education course on dental implants from the International Dental Implant Association convention. While there he had the opportunity to learn about a revolutionary new technique in placing dental implants that uses an endoscopic approach.
This new procedure allows the dentist placing the implant to make several small incisions, rather than one larger one. This results in a much faster procedure as well as substantially less bone loss. In general the longer it takes to perform a dental procedure, the greater the trauma to the site, and the patient experiences a greater degree of pain. Because an endoscopic approach to placing implants is much faster the end result is less trauma to the bone and gum tissues and less pain for the patient. Already our patients are reaping the benefits.
The staff at Apple Valley Dental is committed to continual learning and improvement in our dental practices. We are excited to now offer this revolutionary technique of endoscopic implants to better serve our patients. We have already begun using this approach with great results.
